Where do your Miami officers come from?

Our office is in Homestead, about 35 miles south of Downtown Miami, and we’ll tell you what that means both ways before you ask.

Where it works in your favour. We’re cheaper to keep and easier to reach than a downtown agency. Your calls land with the people who make decisions rather than a dispatch desk, and for a recurring post — a condo lobby, an overnight construction site, a weekly patrol route — the distance is irrelevant once the officer is assigned to your building. That’s most of the work we do in Miami, and it’s the work we’d rather have.

Where it doesn’t. If you need somebody standing in a Brickell lobby in forty minutes because your regular guard walked off shift, we are not your best call. Our commitment is 2 hours to respond and 4 hours to deploy, and we hold to it — but an agency with officers already posted three blocks away will beat us on that specific job. For an urban-core site with genuine same-hour exposure, what we’d recommend is a standing post or a scheduled patrol rather than relying on emergency dispatch from 35 miles out.

We’d rather write that down than have you discover it at 2 AM.

Which Miami neighbourhoods do you cover?

All of the City of Miami plus the unincorporated pockets around it, under the same 4-hour window.

What kinds of Miami sites do you staff?

Miami work is mostly vertical. Condo and office towers, construction, and the buildings currently spending money on structural repair, which is a bigger category in Miami-Dade right now than it has been in decades.

Condo and residential towers

Lobby, gate, garage and pool-deck posts, package rooms, contractor access, and the after-hours calls a building manager doesn’t want to take. Most of our residential and HOA posts here run unarmed Class D officers, because presence and documentation do the work, not a firearm.

Buildings in recertification repair work

Miami-Dade runs its own building recertification programme alongside Florida’s statewide milestone inspection requirement under FS 553.899, and associations across the county are working through mandated structural repairs right now. That creates a security problem most boards don’t budget for: scaffolding and contractor materials on site for months, an access point that can’t be locked, and a fire alarm or sprinkler system taken offline during the work.

We cover both halves, construction site security for the materials and the open perimeter, and fire watch with hourly logged rounds while the system is impaired. If your building is heading into Phase 2 repairs, the security line is worth pricing before the contractor mobilises, not after the first theft.

Construction sites security

Copper, fuel, tools and generators, between the last trade leaving and the first one arriving. In Miami that’s overnight and weekend coverage on active builds, and full-time coverage on sites where the perimeter can’t be closed.

Offices, retail and commercial

Opening and closing coverage, lobby reception posts, loss-prevention presence and after-hours commercial and business security for offices, plazas and warehouse space around the airport corridor.

Retail and commercial security

We handle storefronts, plazas and offices along Palm Drive and US-1, opening and closing coverage, loss-prevention presence, and after-hours commercial and business security.

Hotels and hospitality

Lot, lobby and floor coverage for hotel properties guest-facing officers who don’t change how the property feels.

Event security

Corporate functions, galas, private parties and venue coverage. Event security in Miami runs a heavy season, and the venue or your insurer may require licensed officers as a condition of the booking.

Healthcare and clinics

Waiting-room and access-control posts for hospitals, clinics and care facilities, where de-escalation matters more than anything else an officer carries.

We’ll staff any of our fourteen service lines at a Miami address, including cannabis site security and transport and executive protection.

Miami security guard questions

The questions homeowners ask on the first call, answered the way we answer them on the phone.

How much does a security guard cost in Miami?

Unarmed Class D officers start from $35 to $80 and armed Class G officers from $40 to $80 in Miami, FL. Armed coverage, short shifts, overnight or holiday hours and under-24-hour notice all raise the rate; recurring posts lower it. Every quote is written and fixed before the first shift.
We respond to every request within 2 hours and have an officer on site within 4, which includes Brickell and Downtown. Homestead is about 35 miles south, so for immediate needs in the urban core we recommend a standing post or scheduled patrol rather than relying on a same-hour dispatch.
Most Miami condo and HOA posts run unarmed Class D officers for lobby, gate and pool-deck access control. Armed Class G officers are used where there is cash, high-value inventory, a documented threat, or an insurer’s requirement. Our supervisor recommends the level during the free site assessment, and you can change it later.
Yes. When a building’s fire alarm or sprinkler system is impaired, the fire code and the fire marshal typically require a fire watch until it is restored. We deploy within 4 hours, log rounds hourly, and hand over a written log for the building’s records and insurer.
Our minimum is $35 per shift for a single officer. Shorter shifts are possible for events and fire watch but cost more per hour, because travel and setup are spread over fewer billable hours. Recurring posts of 8 or 12 hours get the lowest hourly rate.
Every officer completes 40 hours of field training with an experienced officer before working a post alone, plus annual online training in de-escalation and sexual harassment. Post orders are written per site after a supervisor walk-through, so an officer arriving at a Miami condo already knows that building’s gates, cameras and contractor rules.
Yes. One-night and single-event posts are available across Miami, including weekends, with the same Class D or G licensed officers used on long-term contracts. The hourly rate is higher than a recurring post and a 12h minimum applies. Give us 24 hours’ notice where you can; under that, our 4-hour deployment still applies.
