Which license does the post actually need?
FLORIDA CLASS D
$32/hr
Unarmed officers
The majority of what we staff. A Class D license covers observation, access control, reporting and presence. Most gatehouses, lobbies, plazas, docks and residential posts are unarmed and should be.
Gatehouses · Lobbies · Retail plazas · Loading docks · HOA communities · Events
FLORIDA CLASS G
$40/hr
Armed officers
Class G adds firearms training and a separate state permit on top of Class D. It makes sense where cash or controlled product is held on site, where there is a specific credible threat, or where an insurer requires it.
Cash on site · Controlled product · High-value inventory · Named threat · Insurer requirement
Six-hour minimum booking. Vehicle billed separately at $10.00 an hour static or $14.00 an hour on patrol. We will tell you when armed is not justified rather than sell it to you.
ONE OFFICE, THREE COUNTIES
How fast can we reach you?
Everything is dispatched from 30003 SW 197 Ave in Homestead. The commitment is the same everywhere we work: a response within 2 hours and a licensed officer on site within 4. What changes is the drive, and we would rather be specific about that than vague.
Closest to us
Florida City, Homestead, the Redland belt, Cutler Bay and Palmetto Bay. The shortest runs we make.
Across Miami-Dade
Kendall, Pinecrest, Coral Gables, Miami, Miami Beach, Doral, Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens, Miami Gardens, Medley and Aventura.
Broward and the Keys
Fort Lauderdale down through Hollywood and Cooper City, and Key Largo out to Key West. Same commitment, and we say plainly on the phone that it is a longer drive.
Scheduled posts are rostered in advance, so the window only matters on the call you did not plan: a fire watch after an alarm fault, a termination this afternoon, a contractor who walked off a half-open site.

BEFORE YOU CALL
Service area questions
Do you cover my city if it is not listed?
Probably. The lists above name the places we work most, not the limit of where we go. We take assignments across Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe County. Call with the address and we will tell you plainly whether we can staff it well from Homestead.
How much does a security guard cost?
Unarmed Class D officers are $32.00 an hour and armed Class G officers $40.00, with a six-hour minimum booking. A vehicle is billed separately. The rate does not change by city.
What is the difference between armed and unarmed guards?
An unarmed officer holds a Florida Class D license. An armed officer holds Class G as well, which requires firearms training and a separate state permit. Most posts we staff are unarmed. Armed makes sense where cash, controlled product or a specific threat is involved.
How quickly can you get an officer to my address?
We respond to a new request within 2 hours and have a licensed officer on site within 4, day or night. South Miami-Dade is the shortest run from our Homestead office. Broward and the Keys are the longest, and we say so on the phone.
Are you licensed, and how do I check?
Yes. Our Security Agency license is B# 3500420 and our Private Investigator Agency license is A# 3500419. Every officer holds a current Florida Class D license, and Class G where the post is armed. All of it is verifiable with the state at no cost.
Do you cover events, and do you really staff the Keys?
Yes to both. Community events, HOA functions and corporate hire are staffed to the real headcount across all three counties. In Monroe we take Key Largo through Key West, which few licensed agencies do directly. It is the longest drive we make, so we schedule it deliberately.
