Agriculture security isn’t a service line we added. It’s where Almond Tree started and it’s still the work we know better than anyone in South Florida.

Our Coverage

Four Things Every Agricultural Operation Needs Protected

Most security companies treat a farm like an empty warehouse with a fence. It isn’t. Agricultural risk sits in four distinct places and a real plan addresses all four.
PILLAR 01

Agriculture Security

Perimeter, access roads, gates, packing houses, barns, offices and field boundaries the ground itself.

PILLAR 02

Equipment

Tractors, harvesters, irrigation pumps, generators, ATVs, trailers, tools and the fuel that runs them.
PILLAR 03

Property

Structures, greenhouses, shade houses, cold storage, wells, fencing, panels and infrastructure.
PILLAR 04

Product

Standing crops, harvested produce, nursery stock, packed inventory and loads staged for transport.
These four pillars are how our clients describe their own risk , so it's how we build every agricultural security plan.

Agricultural Security

What Is Agriculture Security?

QUICK ANSWER

Agriculture security is the protection of farms, nurseries, groves and ranches using trained officers who patrol large, open, often unlit properties to prevent theft of equipment, crops, produce, fuel and livestock, control access to remote entry points, and respond to trespassing and vandalism. It differs from commercial security because the property is vast, the perimeter is rarely fully fenced, and losses often go unnoticed for days.

A farm doesn’t fail security the way a store does. Nobody trips an alarm; a gate is simply left open, a pump is gone by Monday, or a night’s worth of harvested product never makes it onto the truck. By the time the loss is discovered, the trail is cold and the season’s margin is already gone.

Our officers know what belongs on a working agricultural property and what doesn’t  because our leadership grew up on one. That’s the difference between a guard standing at a gate and a security plan built around how your operation actually runs.

What We Protect Against

How South Florida Agricultural Operations Lose Money

Threat 01

Agriculture Security

Tractors, skid steers, irrigation pumps, generators, ATVs and diesel are the most-targeted assets on any farm. Equipment is often driven or trailered out through unmonitored field access roads, and fuel tanks are drained overnight a loss most operations write off long before they report it.
Threat 02

Crop & Produce Theft

Organized crews harvest and load your product at night, and nursery stock mature palms, ornamentals and container plants is lifted straight out of the ground. Because the goods are perishable and unmarked, recovery is almost impossible once they leave the property.
Threat 03

Copper, Wire & Metal Theft

Irrigation wiring, well pump wiring, electrical panels and metal fencing are stripped for scrap value frequently causing far more damage to your irrigation and power infrastructure than the metal is worth.
Threat 04

Trespassing & Dumping

ATV riders, hunters, illegal dumping and after-hours visitors create crop damage, biosecurity risk and genuine injury liability on land you’re responsible for often through the same unlocked access point every time.
Threat 05

Vandalism & Sabotage

Cut irrigation lines, damaged greenhouses, tampered equipment and destroyed plantings can cost an entire season, and disputes with former workers or neighbors are a more common source than most owners expect.
Threat 06

Agriculture Security

Tractors, skid steers, irrigation pumps, generators, ATVs and diesel are the most-targeted assets on any farm. Equipment is often driven or trailered out through unmonitored field access roads, and fuel tanks are drained overnight a loss most operations write off long before they report it.
Who We Protect

Agricultural Operations We Serve

Our roots are in South Dade’s row crops and nurseries, but agricultural security covers a wide range of working properties.

Farms & Row Crop Operations

Vegetable, tropical fruit and field crop farms protecting equipment yards, irrigation infrastructure, standing crops and harvest staging areas.

Nurseries & Greenhouses

Container and field nurseries, shade houses and greenhouses where high-value plant stock is easily lifted and resold with no traceability.

Groves & Orchards

Avocado, mango, citrus and tropical fruit groves often bordered by public roads with multiple unmonitored access points.

Packing Houses & Cold Storage

Where product concentrates and value peaks: access control, truck and driver verification, and loading dock supervision.

Ranches & Livestock Operations

Livestock, feed, tack, trailers and remote outbuildings across large acreage with long, exposed perimeters.

Agricultural Land & Solar Farms

Fallow land, land held for development, and solar farm installations on agricultural parcels — remote sites with high-value copper and panel exposure.

Farm Security Services Built For Open Ground

Acreage doesn’t guard itself from a single post. Our agricultural coverage combines mobile patrol across field roads with fixed control at the points that matter most.

Mobile Field Patrol

Marked vehicle rounds across access roads, field boundaries, pump stations and equipment yards randomized, never predictable.

Gate & Access Control

Stationed officers verifying crews, vendors, buyers and trucks in and out during operating and harvest hours.

Overnight & Weekend Coverage

The hours when nearly all agricultural theft happens dusk to dawn, weekends and holidays.

Seasonal & Harvest Security

Extra officers during planting, harvest and packing peaks, then scaled back in the off-season.

Armed Or Unarmed Officers

Class D and Class G licensed officers, matched to your property's risk level and location.

Documented Reporting

Written activity logs and incident reports with times and photos usable for insurance and law enforcement.

ATPS-01

Homestead-Based

We Don't Drive Down To The Farmland. We're From It.

Our office sits at 30003 SW 197 Ave in Homestead inside the South Dade agricultural belt, not an hour north of it. Our officers know the field roads, the packing house schedules and the difference between a neighbor’s truck and a stranger’s.

That matters at 2 a.m. on an unlit access road, when response time is measured in minutes and local knowledge decides whether a call is a false alarm or a loss in progress.

Questions

Agriculture Security FAQs

How do you secure a property that's hundreds of acres?
Large acreage is covered with mobile patrol rather than fixed posts. Officers run randomized vehicle rounds across access roads, field boundaries, pump stations and equipment yards, with fixed coverage concentrated where value is highest — equipment yards, packing houses, fuel storage and main gates. We map the route with you before the first shift.

Agricultural security is billed hourly and depends on acreage, number of officers, coverage hours and whether you need armed or unarmed coverage. Most operations start with overnight and weekend patrols the hours when nearly all theft happens  which costs far less than full-time staffing. We quote after a free walk of your property.

Yes, and most of our agricultural clients do exactly that. We scale officers up during planting, harvest and packing peaks when crews are largest and product is staged on site, then scale back in the off-season. You aren’t paying for peak coverage year-round.

Yes. Our leadership comes from a generational South Florida farming family, and officers assigned to agricultural properties are briefed on your operating hours, crew patterns, vendor traffic and harvest schedule so they can tell normal activity from a problem instead of calling you about your own tractor.

Yes. Class G licensed armed officers are available and are often recommended for isolated properties, sites with a history of repeat theft, or operations storing high-value equipment and product. We’ll give you an honest recommendation during the assessment.

Absolutely that’s the strongest setup. Cameras record and gates delay; officers respond in real time, verify what the camera saw, and call law enforcement while it’s still happening. Our coverage is designed to layer onto whatever you already have.

All of Miami-Dade County including Homestead, Redland, Florida City and the South Dade agricultural belt, plus Broward County, Monroe County and agricultural land along the Krome Avenue corridor. Statewide expansion is underway.

Yes. Solar installations on agricultural parcels and fallow or development-held land carry the same profile as a working farm: remote, unlit, high-value copper and infrastructure, and no one on site after dark. We provide the same patrol coverage for both.
