What Aventura's condo towers need from security guards

Security guard services in Aventura are mostly vertical work. The city is built on more than forty condo developments, so the job is a lobby, a garage, an amenity deck and a service entrance inside one building rather than a fence line around a lot. Almond Tree Security Services staffs those posts armed or unarmed and answers a new request within 2 hours.

FOUR DOORS, NOT ONE PERIMETER

A tower has four weak points, not one

A fenced lot has a perimeter. A thirty-floor building has four separate places where someone who should not be inside gets inside, and they fail in different ways. Security guard services in Aventura have to cover all four.

The lobby and the front desk

The only point everybody passes through, and the one residents judge you on. The work is access control with manners: visitors logged, contractors checked against the day's list, deliveries handed off rather than waved through. An officer who is rude at the desk costs the board more goodwill than a theft does.

The parking garage

Where almost everything actually happens. Catalytic converters, bikes, packages left in cars, and a resident alone at the elevator lobby at 11pm. Garages are poorly lit by design and the camera coverage is usually worst exactly where the cars are most valuable.

The amenity deck

Pool, gym, party room, roof terrace. The problem is rarely crime; it is guests who are not guests, hours nobody enforces, and a key fob shared across four families. This is where "who is allowed to be here" becomes a real question.

The service entrance and loading bay

The door with the worst lock and the most traffic. Movers, deliveries, trades, and the one entrance where a propped door is normal rather than suspicious.

Construction inside an occupied building

Aventura keeps building, and it keeps renovating towers that are still full of residents. A unit remodel on floor 18 means strangers with tools in the service elevator every day for months. Construction site security in an occupied building is a different job from a fenced site, because you cannot lock it down.

THE PART MOST PAGES WOULD HIDE

Aventura is our longest run. Here is what that changes.

It is the furthest Miami-Dade city from our office, and I would rather say so than have you work it out. We dispatch from Homestead, at the bottom of the county. Aventura is at the top, against the Broward line.

The 2-hour response and 4-hour deployment still hold. They are what we commit to for a new request anywhere in the service area. They are not a function of how far down the map you are.

It barely matters for the work Aventura actually needs. A lobby post or a garage patrol runs to a roster agreed weeks ahead. The officer is already in the building at 6pm because that is when the shift starts. Drive time from our office is our problem, not a line on your invoice.

It does matter if you want a vehicle on call. If what you need is somebody who can be at the door in fifteen minutes on an unscheduled call-out, a company based in north Miami-Dade or south Broward will beat us, and you should use one.

THE REASON TO USE US HERE

One vendor for both sides of the county line

Aventura sits on the Miami-Dade and Broward boundary, and we are licensed and working in both. Security guard services in Aventura are worth buying from an agency that can cross that line with you.

That is worth more here than anywhere else we cover. A management company with a tower in Aventura and another in Hallandale Beach or Hollywood normally runs two vendors, two contracts and two sets of license paperwork, because most agencies are county-specific in practice even when their license is not. One agency across both means one invoice, one set of post orders written the same way, and officers who can cover each other's shifts across the line.

Our Broward coverage is real and not theoretical: Cooper City has been a live service area page since before this one, and residential and HOA security explains how the work is structured for a board.

RATES, STATED PLAINLY

What a lobby post costs in an Aventura building

An unarmed Class D officer is $32.00 an hour, an armed Class G officer is $40.00 an hour, and the minimum booking is six hours. Security guard services in Aventura are priced by the hour, with any vehicle billed separately.

Unarmed officer, Class D

$32.00 / hour

Armed officer, Class G

$40.00 / hour

Vehicle, parked on site

$10.00 / hour

Vehicle, engine running or on patrol

$14.00 / hour

Mobile patrol, multi-day contract

$44.00 / hour, officer and vehicle together

Vehicle on a multi-day contract

$8.00 parked, $12.00 on patrol

Minimum booking

6 hours

For a tower, the vehicle lines usually do not apply. An officer posted at a desk does not need a truck, which is why a lobby is one of the cheaper things to staff properly and a scattered low-rise site is one of the more expensive. The South Florida pricing guide works through the hours for a full roster.

WHEN WE ARE NOT THE ANSWER

When to call Aventura Police instead of us

Aventura has its own accredited police department, and on this page that matters more than on most. These are the three jobs security guard services in Aventura are the wrong tool for.

Aventura Police will get there first

The department was formed in 1997 and the city reports 84 full-time officers, with Aventura divided into four zones patrolled 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In 2000 it became the youngest agency ever accredited by CALEA. For anything happening right now, 911 is the correct call and it is not close. What a private officer gives you is somebody already inside the building, access control, a written log and a face residents know. Not response.

You want somebody five minutes away

We dispatch from Homestead, which is the far end of the county. For unscheduled call-outs where minutes decide the outcome, a north Miami-Dade or south Broward agency will beat us and you should use one.

A two-hour job is not ours

The minimum booking is six hours. A single move-in supervision or a two-hour board meeting does not fit, and somebody smaller will price it better.

Post orders for a residential tower are written against the building, not copied from a template: who may be admitted after midnight, what happens when a resident is locked out, when the garage gets walked, what gets written down, who gets called and in what order.

Every officer holds a Florida Class D license for unarmed work or Class G for armed, completes 40 hours of field training, and repeats de-escalation and harassment training every year. The de-escalation part is what matters most in a condo building, where most of what an officer handles is a disagreement rather than a crime.

The motto is Safety Before All.

BEFORE THE BOARD VOTES

What a condo board asks before it votes

The seven questions that come up at every association meeting about security guard services in Aventura.

Does the distance from Homestead cost me anything?

Not on a rostered post. The officer starts his shift at your building, so our drive is our cost, not yours. It would cost you on unscheduled call-outs, which is why we say plainly that a north-county agency is the better choice if that is what you need.

Thirty floors, one officer: what that really buys

A staffed lobby, controlled access and a documented set of rounds. It does not buy simultaneous cover of thirty floors, a garage and a pool deck, and anyone who tells a board otherwise is selling a feeling. Most towers run one officer at the desk and add a second for the garage on the nights that need it.

Armed or unarmed inside a residential building?

Usually unarmed. Class D officers handle access control, presence and reporting, which is essentially all of the work in a residential tower. Armed Class G makes sense where cash or high-value goods move on a schedule. We will say which one your building needs rather than upselling the higher rate.

Round-the-clock lobby cover, and how it is rostered

24/7 means three shifts and a relief officer, which is roughly 168 hours a week. Most buildings start with overnight only, then extend once the board sees the logs. We would rather you start narrow and widen than sign for cover you do not use.

What happens in the garage overnight?

Walked on an irregular schedule and logged, rather than paced to a timetable anybody could learn. Garage levels are where most reported incidents in residential buildings actually happen, so if you are only buying a few hours, buy them there.

Do you work with the cameras we already have?

Yes, and an officer who can see your camera feed from the desk is worth more than one who cannot. We do not install or service camera systems. If your real problem is that the garage has three working cameras and six dead ones, a systems company should come before we do.

Can one company cover Aventura and Broward?

Yes, and that is the main reason to use us here rather than proximity. Security guard services in Aventura and a post in Hallandale Beach can run on one agency, one contract and one license check, instead of two vendors who each blame the other when a shift is missed.

EITHER SIDE OF THE LINE

Which places sit either side of Aventura?

North Miami-Dade, the Broward cities above the line, and everything down the county from there. The same officers who run security guard services in Aventura cover all of it.

The full list of cities and counties is on the Service Area page.
