NORTH MIAMI-DADE · LICENSED FLORIDA SECURITY AGENCY

Miami Gardens runs on a calendar. So do its security guards.

Security guard services in Miami Gardens split into two jobs. On a dozen or more weekends a year the city absorbs tens of thousands of visitors around Hard Rock Stadium, and every lot, yard and gated street nearby changes character for about eight hours. The rest of the year it is warehouses, HOAs and building sites. Almond Tree Security Services covers both.

A DOZEN WEEKENDS A YEAR

What changes in the ring around the stadium

Everything within about a mile, and none of it is the stadium's problem to solve. This is where security guard services in Miami Gardens earn their fee.

Hard Rock Stadium seats 64,767 and its fixture list is not a normal stadium's. The Miami Dolphins and the Miami Hurricanes both play there. The Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix has run since 2022 on a circuit built in the stadium's own car parks, under a deal now extended to 2041. The Miami Open keeps 29 permanent tennis courts in the south car park. WrestleMania, the Orange Bowl, Jazz in the Gardens and a concert calendar fill in the rest.

Car parks that are empty most of the year

A surface lot that sits empty 350 days a year becomes valuable on the other 15, and people will park on it whether you have agreed to that or not. The job is presence at the entrance from three hours before gates, and a plan for what happens when somebody is already parked and gone.

The plaza whose lot is not a car park

Retail plazas near a stadium lose their own customers' spaces first. An officer at the entrance turning away non-customers for six hours protects the tenants' takings more than any camera does, and it is the single most requested event-day job in a city like this.

Yards and loading bays on a game Sunday

An equipment or contractor yard with a gate onto a feeder road is exposed twice: the gate itself, and the fact that nobody who works there is present to notice. Event traffic gives cover.

Streets that turn into overflow parking

A gated community two streets from a stadium gets a different kind of visitor on event days. Most HOAs here already know which weekends are difficult. Residential and HOA security on those dates is access control at the entrance, not patrol.

MOST OF THE WORK IS NOT FOOTBALL

The other three hundred days

Miami Gardens is a working city of roughly twenty square miles, not a stadium with a town attached, and most security guard services in Miami Gardens have nothing to do with football.

Distribution, trades and storage off the highway

The city sits mid-way between Fort Lauderdale and Miami with expressway access on both sides, which is exactly why distribution and trade premises are here. Overnight yard cover, closing checks and access control during loading are the ordinary work.

Gated streets and the boards that run them

Entrance posts, visitor logging, contractor checks. The same work as anywhere, except that a dozen weekends a year it gets harder, and a board that has only priced the easy weeks gets a surprise.

Building work across twenty square miles

Incorporated in 2003 as Miami-Dade's 33rd city, Miami Gardens has been building ever since. Construction site security here is mostly overnight and weekend cover for plant, copper and fuel.

THE PART MOST PAGES WOULD HIDE

Booked in May for a game in November

This is the one city where our distance from the job barely matters, and it is worth saying why rather than hoping you do not ask. We dispatch from Homestead, at the south end of the county. Miami Gardens is at the north end.

On most of our pages that is a real consideration. Here it is not, because event work is booked against a published fixture list. The schedule is out months ahead. Nobody is dispatching an officer to a Dolphins game on fifteen minutes' notice, and a roster agreed in August is unaffected by how far the office is. For weekday work the same logic applies as everywhere: a posted officer starts their shift at your site, so the drive is our cost and not a line on your invoice.

Where it does matter: an unscheduled call-out where minutes decide the outcome. For that, a north-county or south-Broward agency will beat us, and you should use one.

RATES, STATED PLAINLY

What an event-day post costs

An unarmed Class D officer is $32.00 an hour and an armed Class G officer is $40.00 an hour, with a six-hour minimum. Security guard services in Miami Gardens are priced by the hour, with any vehicle billed separately.

Armed officer, Class G

$40.00 / hour

Vehicle, parked on site

$10.00 / hour

Vehicle, engine running or on patrol

$14.00 / hour

Mobile patrol, multi-day contract

$44.00 / hour, officer and vehicle together

$8.00 parked, $12.00 on patrol

Minimum booking

6 hours

An event day is usually a straight six to eight hours per officer, which makes it one of the easiest things on this list to price. A full season of fixtures is a multi-day contract, which is where the lower vehicle rates apply. The South Florida pricing guide works through a roster.

Your figure is confirmed in writing before the first shift.

What we need to price a date

The fixture, the lot or the building, and how many ways in. That is all we need to price it.

SAYING IT BEFORE YOU ASK

We do not work inside Hard Rock Stadium

Stating it plainly, because it is the first thing a reader of this page will wonder. These are the three jobs security guard services in Miami Gardens are the wrong tool for.

The stadium runs its own operation

Event security inside the bowl, at the gates and on the concourses is the venue's own arrangement. We are not part of it and we are not bidding for it. Anything we sell you is outside the fence.

Miami Gardens Police patrol the venue

The city has had its own force since 2007, with roughly 232 officers, and the stadium is on its patrol. For anything happening right now, on an event day or any other, 911 is the correct call. A private officer gives you presence, access control at your own entrance, and a written log. Not response.

Six hours is the floor

The minimum booking is six hours. If you want somebody for the two hours either side of kick-off and nothing more, a smaller local operator will price that better than we will.

WHO SETS THE POST ORDERS

Game-day orders come from the site walk

Steve Garrison, founder, and Brian Kennedy, Chief Executive Officer, sign off the post orders, and for event work those orders come out of walking the site before the date.

Where the officer stands, which entrance stays open, what happens when the lot is full, who gets called when somebody refuses to move, and what gets written down.

Every officer holds a Florida Class D license for unarmed work or Class G for armed, completes 40 hours of field training, and repeats de-escalation and harassment training annually. On a crowded event day the de-escalation training is most of the job. Telling two hundred people they cannot park somewhere is a conversation, not an enforcement action.

The motto is Safety Before All.

BEFORE THE FIXTURE LIST COMES OUT

What a property manager asks before an event weekend

The seven questions that come up every season about security guard services in Miami Gardens.

Is the fixture list how you plan cover?

Yes. Give us the dates you care about and we roster against them. Most clients here book a season rather than a date, because the difficult weekends are known in advance and officers who have worked your site before are worth more than whoever is available.

Can you hold a lot that is not yours to hold?

We can control access to property you own or manage, and document what happens. We cannot tow, and we cannot detain somebody for parking. If a vehicle is already there and the driver has gone, the realistic options are a tow operator you have a contract with, or waiting.

Armed or unarmed on a crowded Sunday?

Unarmed, almost always. Class D officers handle access control and presence, which is the whole job in a car park. A firearm in a crowd changes the risk rather than reducing it, and we will say so rather than sell you the higher rate.

One officer, four hundred cars

One officer covers an entrance, not a lot. They control who comes in, log what happens and are visible. They cannot watch four hundred vehicles at once, and a company that implies otherwise is selling you a feeling. Big lots need an officer per controlled entrance.

Do you cover the quiet weeks too?

Yes, and most of our Miami Gardens work would be the quiet weeks. Warehouse and yard cover, HOA entrance posts and construction sites run on a normal roster with no relation to the fixture list.

If the event runs late, what then?

Hours past the booked end are agreed on the night and billed at the same rate. Nobody walks off a post at the contracted minute while your lot is still full, and we will not invent a surcharge for it either.

Event cover and weekday cover from one agency?

Yes, and it is cheaper that way. A season of fixtures plus ordinary weekday cover is a multi-day contract, which is where the $8.00 and $12.00 vehicle rates apply instead of $10.00 and $14.00.

AROUND THE CITY

Which cities sit around Miami Gardens?

North Miami-Dade and the Broward line above it. The same officers who run security guard services in Miami Gardens cover all of it.
